Roman Senior Officer

This is the Senior Officer that first appeared in the Miniature Figurines 72/73 catalogue as PB 115. The fact that he's Roman was taken as read - but I've added it to the title for the sake of clarity.

Both PB ranges were based on Phil Barker's books Armies of the Macedonian and Punic Wars and The Armies and Enemies of Imperial Rome. This figure is taken from illustration 15 in the first edition of AEIR.

The code numbers for the AEIR range correspond to the illustrations in the book plus '100', i.e. illustration 1 is figure 101, and so on.

The base is stamped PB 115 on the upper surface in the usual manner.

This chap obviously represents a tribune nipping down the post office to dispatch his latest missive lamenting the sorry state of life on the frontiers of empire. He appears to be armed with a scroll, which is not likely to do him much good against a great, hairy barbarian with a big sword. Silly fellow!
